April Contreras

April is a postdoctoral researcher in Matthew Hill’s lab at the University of Calgary. She investigates how manipulation of the brain’s endocannabinoid system, which responds to cannabis, influences the therapeutic efficacy of classical psychedelics. April is honoured to be part of the LIVE-PATH network and is motivated to translate findings from preclinical psychedelic drug research to refine psychedelic use in mental health treatments, with the goal of making these therapies more accessible to those who could benefit from them.
